Mass Production to Synchronous Material Flow strategy (should be consistent
with business strategy)

This would help in material planning process and foster controlled inventory
reduction.
Work Place design Determine material display device and work
place layout needed to present parts in an operator friendly fashion. Design a
place for every product. To eliminate waste.
Small Lot Flow Consider sequencing and kitting. Should look
to use right size containers and pack quantities to maximize productivity
Pull Signal Create a pull system for inventory calling
as and when the operators need it.
Material flow analysis Conduct on regular basis the current and
future state material flow modeling moving backwards from production to
supplier to eliminate waste.
Delivery Routes and Methods Design and implement efficient delivery
routes for parts transportation to operator from the market place. Determine frequency,
labor requirement and modes
